Hycis was once a beautiful and peaceful place, with many bridges into the Feywild. Eventually however, a great war (known as The Court War) between the Seelie and the Unseelie Courts spilled over into Hycis. In an unusual and unexpected move, the Unseelie Court opened a portal and enlisted the aid of demon kind, promising them safe harbor in this realm if they helped win the war. This is the first known evidence of Tieflings in Remorra. The war eventually fizzled out, with the Seelie and Unseelie courts evenly matched. No longer needed, but unable to return home, the tieflings claimed the island of Malangi as their own.

During the war Fey magic twisted Hycis into a terrifying, beautiful, alien landscape.
