Below is a timeline of history, as most people in Remorra understand it.
NOTE: This is how history has been recorded by human historians in Briarhelm, Fortide.
It is by no means a complete history, and the elves, dwarves, and other races will have their own records of events unknown to the humans.

An age is defined as a period of time usually lasting about 2500 years, and is commonly named for the most significant event that happened during that time.
The defining of an age as 2500 years is based on the time between when elves and humans were created.

Dates for years are written as <Age><Year in that age>. For example, in the table below you will find “Birth, 1”. This means the first year in The Age of Birth.
In cases where no specific year is given, events in the “Major Events” column are listed chronologically.

Because of the naming convention used by historians, the current age has no name yet.

The Emergence	Unknown	The gods fully manifest in this plane, having been banished from another realm. The gods choose sides, with each blaming the other for their banishment. Yatt stays neutral.
The Age of Inception	Unknown	The physical aspect of this plane, and the solar system are created. Reality is infused with arcane and divine energies. Life is formed when Hevla combines divine energies and matter. Flora and fauna spread across the world, including dragons.
The Age of the Fey	Unknown	The Court War begins between the Seelie Court and the Unseelie Court. The war spills into Remorra through many connections to the Feywild in Hycis. Unseelie Court opens a portal and devil kind (including Tieflings) enter Remorra as aid to the Unseelie Court. The Court War ends, but not before Hycis is transformed into an alien landscape.
The Age of Might	6000	Giants populate the world, intent on ruling over everything. In an effort to restore the natural order, Dragons declare war on the Giants. Called “Ska’la” in ancient draconic, Dragonborn are created by the dragons as cannon fodder, because Giants greatly outnumber dragons. The war eventually winds down, with both sides nearly eliminated. Most of the remaining Giants flee to Southern Vescenda.
The Age of Birth	2500	Birth, 1 – Orcs gain sentience. In response Hevla creates Elves, to counter-balance the orcs, who have evolved from beasts according to Zomok’s design. Birth, 1300 – Dwarves and Gnomes emerge from the earth (as recorded by the elves). The End of Birth (2500) – Humans are created in Lamari (the western regions), Halflings are created in Vescenda (the eastern regions).
The Age of Growth	2500	Growth, 400 – Humans begin to explore and populate the world. Growth, 1600 – Dragonborn are discovered in Redtide. Growth, 2100 – Tieflings are discovered in Malangi.
The Forgotten Age	17	This period is completely missing from every known cultural history. In every discernible historical account it is exactly 17 years long. There are many, many theories as to what happened during these years, but nobody knows for sure. See The One-Seven
The Age of Affliction	2500	Affliction, 100 – A colossal plague sweeps across Remorra, diminishing the world population by almost 40%. Affliction, 700 – After nearly 600 years, an unlikely cure is found, in a rather common plant extract. Affliction, 2400 – Remorra seems to have mostly recovered from the devastating plague.
Current Age	Ongoing	Because of the naming convention used by historians, the current age has no name yet.
