War in Mytar

For over 600 years Mytar has been ravaged by war, involving two primary sides: the orcs from northern Aknok, and the elves from Piquant in the south. The original homeland of the elven race, Mytar was once a beautiful, peaceful land. Expansion by the elves increased interest in the region for the orcs, who found the "Skinnies" (common translation for orc derogatory term for elves) worthwhile targets for raiding. Eventually (~200 years ago) humans entered into the war from southern Fortide, offering aid to their elven allies. Over the last 300 years the war has steadily escalated and is now a bigger battle than ever. A large percentage of the previously beautiful Mytar now lies in ruin, with scorched earth blackening its once blue sky.
