The Great One
According to popular belief, the primary Gods in Remorra were banished from another realm by a more powerful entity. Followers of "The Great One" worship that entity, even though nobody knows anything about it. The fact that it could banish gods means it's obviously the superior being. Calling themselves "Awakened" (or "The Awakened") the followers are very cult-like in their practices. They appoint "Fathers" who guide Awakened "Children" along the spiritual pathway to cleansing, for "The Day of the Arrival", when The Great One shall arrive in Remorra to once again banish (or some think destroy) "The False Ones" (the primary gods).
The Awakened have been known to vandalize temples and attack followers of other gods, as cleansing in the name of "The Great One".
They will also occasionally shanghai leaders of other religions and leave them in completely isolated areas, "banishing them", as The Great One did to their false god.
The Awakened do not build temples - they take over existing temples of other religions, defiling any references to the original god of the temple.
The Eleventh Gaze
Beholders are exceptionally powerful creatures, being able to will things into existence. Some believe that beholders are the key to how the world (and everything in it) was created. The Eleventh Gaze is a dark, mysterious cult who will gather in cities or towns near known beholder lairs, thwarting any attempt by locals to disturb, kill, or remove the creature.
Details are sketchy, but the cult has several ranks, all named with an eye theme. Initiates are known as "Pupils", eleven of which are under the guidance of an "Iris". High leaders are known as "Gazers".
